Alla A.
I bought this self-portrait of Alla A. for twenty-five cents at the fairground.
One-hundred thousand beggars raise/
and shout to God reprieving praise:
In Excelsis Deo!

Jesus, Adam and Eve

He gave his life away/
'cause it was nothing anyway.

Juice

Anchorites run down from the hills, and cut their nails and hair/
and swear/
they admire the good-natured, dumb robustness of men.

Repay the sin of Adam. Adam coveted life, impetuous, like a child reaching for a the tit. Christ undid when for him everything of the world was nothing. Totally clean, of the mark of the sin of the ages.
